Rosasharn BH Ohia Lehua 'Romeo'
DOB 7/22/2012
DNA on file
Gold carrying buckskin

Sire: Rosasharn TL Bully Hill +*B VVV 88
(Rosasharn's Tiger L ++B ++*S x ARMCH Rosasharn SW Sake 4*M 5*D)

Dam: Rosasharn AX Bee Balm +VV+ 85 (FF)
(Rosasharn AL's Astrix ++B VEE 89 x ARMCH SG Rosasharn's UMT Honey Bee 4*D 4*M VVEE 88)

Our first herdsire traveled here all the way from Massachusetts. Ohia is a sweetheart who charms ALL the ladies. And even a few men!

Ohia is on the small side but he is very masculine and stretchy, especially on the move. And how about that beard!
Beards aside, bucks are judged by the mammaries behind them. When ADGA notified me that Ringo Starr was not Ohia's sire, I was disappointed, but only until Bully Hill was confirmed as the sire. Bully Hill is the littermate sister to Jizake, pictured below, bottom right. I have admired Jizake for awhile and hope Ohia passes along some of that udder gorgeousness. Dam's pictures are not available but you can see that there are some other lovely mammaries backing this handsome guy up.
Daughter 'O Beautiful Rose' and son 'O Big Daddy Hu-Dew' are retained.

Rosasharn BB Amakihi 'Amma'
DOB 7/22/2012-9/27/2017
Buckskin carrying black

Sire: Rosasharn WT B-BO *S ++B VEE 89
(Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby +*S x ARMCH Rosasharn's UMT Honey Bee 4*M  4*D VVEE 88)

DAM:  Rosasharn TL Magnolia Warbler 1*M VEEV 89
(ARMCH Rosasharn's Tiger L *++S ++B 'E'x AR Rosasharn SP Honey Creeper 4*D +VVE 87)

Queen Amma shares her name with the famous Hugging Guru but our goats have their own special name for her. Ear Biter.

Unfortunately Amma had some kidding complications in early 2016 and we were unable to save her uterus or her beautiful twin doelings. A devastating loss but we are very grateful that the vet was able to save Amma.

My good friend Amma has been in milk since February 8, 2016. Her production is not stellar due to the very difficult start to her second lactation but she is a tremendous dairy goat with a good work ethic, beautiful udder texture, and persistent lactation despite my irregular milking schedule. She is milked once a day and produces just under a pound of milk at 440 days fresh. Amma loves being a dairy goat and we are both grateful to have this final lactation.

It turns out that goats, unlike cats, do not have nine lives. Amma earned her wings on a sad September afternoon, after a long battle with squamous cell carcinoma. Miss you sweet Amma.

Kahalawai O Beautiful Rose 'Rose'
DOB 4/19/2015

Buckskin carrying black

Sire: Rosasharn BH Ohia Lehua
(Rosasharn TL Bully Hill *B VVV 88 x Rosasharn AX Bee Balm +VV+ 85 (FF)

Dam: Gryphon SI La Paloma Blanca
(DesertNanny Smirnoff Ice VEE 88 x Gryphon ST Sweet Emotion)

Our first Kahalawai doe has grown up to be a very sweet young lady, not a lick of trouble in this girl. During her first freshening she shows modest capacity with improved teat size, udder texture, and capacity over her dam.

Rose's dam is named after a George Baker hit single and Rose takes her name from a song on the album of the same name.

We lost our Beautiful Rose quickly, unexpectedly, and bafflingly one rainy December day. We miss her. Her son, Kahalawai B Honey From a Thorn, is retained.
